Torch Awards

Compassion, honesty and integrity – these are the core values that have been embraced by JW Floor Covering for over 27 years.  These values led the Better Business Bureau to recognize JW Floor Covering as a 2008 Torch Awards Winner, honoring marketplace ethics.  “To be distinguished as a company that operates with exemplary ethics reflects our success in doing business the right way.  This success has come from a pursuit of quality rather than profit,” says John Wallace CEO.  John started this business from the back of his pickup, and built JW Floor Covering into a company of over 200 employees with locations in San Diego, Escondido, Riverside, and the Bay Area.  They supply, install, clean and restore commercial and residential flooring to these areas, always with a focus on their core values.

Beyond their business needs, JW Floor Covering has encompassed a passion to help others in need.  To facilitate this passion they created the “JW Floor Covering / Re:Source Floors Outreach for Humanity” committee.  In 2007, this group has managed to provide money, time and talent to over 25 different projects, ranging from rebuilding the Nazareth Boys Orphanage in Tijuana, to donating care packages to the homeless in San Diego.  In the words of John Wallace, “When you’ve been around for a long time, you finally figure out it isn’t all about profits and losses.  It’s about doing the right thing.  It starts with how we treat our customers, but then it goes beyond that, to giving back to the community.”
